Freedom to Invest statement on U.S. midterm election

November 4, 2026

Media Releases News

BOSTON — The U.S. election results mark a decisive win for investment freedom, as voters turned away from culture-war politics and elected leaders committed to protecting the interests of everyday investors, businesses, and retirees.

Last night’s results were a clear win for investors and for the principle that people, not politicians, should decide how they invest their money. Voters across the country rejected political crusades that put culture-war messaging ahead of the interests of everyday investors, businesses, and retirees.

States that have been openly hostile to investment freedom have flipped. For example, Texas, which has pushed the boundaries on responsible investment practices for the better part of half a decade, will have new leaders in every statewide office and most likely in the House.

We look forward to working with members of both parties, in Washington and in statehouses across the country, to protect the free market and stable, evidence-based approaches to investor choice.
